Solar Installation in Lexington, MA (13.8 kW DC)

For this Lexington home, we designed a custom 13.8 kW solar system to produce approximately 14,688 kWh of clean energy each year, exceeding the home’s current annual electricity usage of 12,331 kWh and helping prepare the homeowner for future energy needs.

To further protect the investment, we also installed SolaTrim animal guards, helping prevent birds and other small animals from nesting beneath the solar array while maintaining a clean finished appearance.

Every system we install is designed around both performance and long-term reliability.

Because this array is installed on a railed mounting system, we added SolaTrim animal guards around the perimeter of the array to help discourage birds and other small animals from accessing the space beneath the panels.

While often overlooked, this added protection can help reduce debris buildup, minimize nesting activity, and keep the system looking clean while protecting important wiring and components underneath the array.

It’s one more detail that helps ensure the system performs reliably for years to come.

This project combines premium REC solar panels with Enphase microinverters to deliver high performance, reliability, and panel-level monitoring.

The homeowner can monitor system performance through the Enphase App, providing real-time visibility into energy production and long-term system performance.

Combined with the IronRidge mounting system and SolaTrim animal guards, this installation was designed not only to produce clean energy—but to remain protected and visually clean for years to come.
